{"id":23369,"date":"2024-04-23T11:46:28","date_gmt":"2024-04-23T11:46:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lluita.org\/lexpilot-dani-amatriain-presenta-el-seu-llibre-autobiografic-on-rebella-la-seva-lluita-contra-certes-addiccions-i-el-vih\/"},"modified":"2024-04-23T12:08:58","modified_gmt":"2024-04-23T12:08:58","slug":"lexpilot-dani-amatriain-presenta-el-seu-llibre-autobiografic-on-rebella-la-seva-lluita-contra-certes-addiccions-i-el-vih","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lluita.org\/en\/lexpilot-dani-amatriain-presenta-el-seu-llibre-autobiografic-on-rebella-la-seva-lluita-contra-certes-addiccions-i-el-vih\/","title":{"rendered":"Former pilot Dani Amatria\u00edn presents his autobiographical book where he reveals his fight against certain addictions and HIV"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Former pilot <strong>Dani Amatria\u00edn<\/strong>, who won several Spanish and European motorcycling Champion titles, has presented the autobiographical book at CASA SEAT Barcelona.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In the author&#8217;s words, this book has been the best therapeutic process that he could do for me and mine.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">&#8220;Getting out of an addiction is not easy; no one tells you that once you get out, you must continue fighting every day,&#8221; explains Amatria\u00edn.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The event has been an emotional meeting in which colleagues and friends of the former pilot have accompanied him to remember his life journey;<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">from the bold childhood dreams to the challenges of his sports career, without forgetting the personal struggle he had to overcome after knowing success.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Amatria\u00edn, who has publicly revealed that he has HIV, was always clear that his book should be a tool to help others: from those who are going through an addiction process, to those who have already overcome it.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">&#8220;Helping gives me feedback,&#8221; Dani Amatria\u00edn stated on several occasions during the event;<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">and he has exemplified this by explaining his current vocation as an interventional therapist, his BASI business project for solidarity purposes and his current connection with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lluita.org\/en\/?swcfpc=1\"><strong>Fight Infections Foundation<\/strong><\/a>, where he will allocate part of the profits from the sale of his autobiography.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">As his great friend, the journalist <strong>Josep Llu\u00eds Merlos<\/strong>, has highlighted, &#8220;Dani continues to be an example thanks to his ability to work, his unstoppable creativity and his great honesty that remains intact as the first day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lluita.org\/en\/about-us\/bonaventura-clotet\/?swcfpc=1\">doctor.<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lluita.org\/en\/about-us\/bonaventura-clotet\/?swcfpc=1\">Bonaventura Clotet<\/a><\/strong> thanked Amatria\u00edn for his altruistic gesture, emphasizing that &#8220;Testimonies like Dani&#8217;s help not to stigmatize diseases like this. He is a great example that today you can have HIV and live a normal life. And with the book<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">has shown a great gesture of solidarity and honesty&#8221;.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The president of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lluita.org\/en\/?swcfpc=1\"><strong>Fight Infections Foundation<\/strong><\/a> concluded by reminding that no one should be stigmatized for having a virus, and that society still has a lot to learn.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">He also added that contributing to solidarity events that help invest in research is the most effective way to advance and materialize projects;<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It is seed money.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Clotet also highlighted: &#8220;We are not aware of the emotional return that makes you know that you are betting on projects like this.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former pilot Dani Amatria\u00edn, who won several Spanish and European motorcycling Champion titles, has presented the autobiographical book at CASA SEAT Barcelona.
