The Can Ruti Campus<\/a> and the healthcare and research team of the different institutions that make up it remain, for another year, a prominent nerve center on a global scale in terms of production and scientific advancement.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Once again, the names of around thirty recognized professionals – from the Hospital and the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP), Fight Infections Foundation, IrsiCaixa<\/a>, the Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute<\/a> (IJC) and the Catalan Institute of Oncology<\/a> (ICO) – appear on a global list of scientists who achieve greater impact thanks to their publications and citations.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This is the new and latest update of the Scopus database from Elsevier<\/a>, a global publisher in the world in terms of Medicine and Health Sciences.<\/span><\/span> The list includes about 200,000 authors, from 22 research fields and 174 subfields based on bibliometric data.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The selection criteria are based on factors such as the number of publications, the quality of the journals in which they have published, the number of citations received throughout their career, and other indicators that reflect the influence and prestige of their scientific contributions.<\/span><\/span> The final list presents everyone who is in the top 2% or higher in their subfield of specialization worldwide.<\/span><\/span> The list classifies professionals into two categories: those recognized according to their impact during the past year, and according to their entire scientific career.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Regarding the influence of their work during the year 2023, Bonaventura Clotet<\/a>, president of the Lluita contra les Infeccions Foundation and director of IrsiCaixa<\/a>, is again on the list, as well as Roger Paredes<\/strong>, scientific director of the Lluita contra les Infeccions Foundation and head of the Infectious Diseases Service at the Germans Trias Hospital, Oriol Mitj\u00e0<\/strong>, head of the community infection control strategies section at the Fight Infeccions Foundation and head of the Infectious Diseases Section at the Germans Trias Hospital and Josep M.
