scientific dissemination, with the aim of bringing science and technology closer to the public.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This year, the 29th edition is being celebrated, taking place from 13 to 29 November 2024.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">During this period, various activities are organized aimed at schoolchildren, children, young people and families, such as<\/span><\/span><\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Science Day in Schools<\/strong>: Online sessions with scientists from different disciplines for secondary school students.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Conferences and visits for high school and training courses<\/strong>: Presentations and tours of research centers on the Can Ruti Campus.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Up-close science for everyone<\/strong>: Experimental workshops and conferences open to the general public in Pla\u00e7a de la Vila and at Badalona City Hall.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Workshops for children and families in libraries<\/strong>: Practical activities to foster interest in science among the youngest.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">These activities are organized by several entities of the <strong>Can Ruti Campus<\/strong>, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hospitalgermanstrias.cat\/web\/guest\"><strong>Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute<\/strong><\/a> (IGTP), the <a href=\"https:\/\/fcarreras.org\/en\/\">Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute<\/a> (IJC), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irsicaixa.es\/en\">IrsiCaixa<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lluita.org\/en\/?swcfpc=1\">Fight Against Infections Foundation<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.museudebadalona.cat\/en\/\">Badalona Museum<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/badabiblios.cat\/\">Municipal Library Network<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.badalona.cat\/es\/servicios-ayuntamiento\/educacion?set_language=es\">Education Service of the Badalona City Council<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The main objective of <strong>Science Week<\/strong> is to foster interest in science and technology, as well as promote scientific vocations among young people.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Conferences and visits for high school and training courses<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This year, from the Fundaci\u00f3 Lluita contra les Infecciones, we have collaborated with the <strong>Badalona Science Week<\/strong> in a very active way, welcoming a group of high school, nursing and pharmacy students who wanted to learn first-hand how clinical research is managed.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_24152\" ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Throughout Science Week, we had the opportunity to participate in the \u201cScience up close for everyone\u201d space, held in Pla\u00e7a de la Vila.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">There we presented the workshop \u201c<strong>How to do science, but good science<\/strong>\u201d, designed especially for children and led by psychologist and researcher <strong>Jos\u00e9 A.
