A total of <strong>ten centres across Europe are participating<\/strong>, including the Long <a href=\"https:\/\/lluita.org\/es\/infeccions\/covid-19\/?swcfpc=1\">COVID research line<\/a> of the Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, the Foundation committed to recruiting 15 participants. However, the interest and dedication of the team have exceeded expectations, reaching <strong>20 individuals with neurocognitive impairment<\/strong> who are already part of the study.<\/p>\n<p>This progress represents two pieces of good news:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the one hand, having<strong> new studies that explore therapeutic strategies<\/strong> to tackle this global health issue.<\/li>\n<li>On the other, the team\u2019s ability to surpass the initial recruitment targets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The clinical trial is currently underway, and the recruitment process will remain open over the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>The Foundation\u2019s team involved in the study includes <strong>Dr Lourdes Mateu<\/strong> as co-principal investigator, <strong>Dr Aiello<\/strong>, <strong>Dr Llad\u00f3s<\/strong>, and <strong>Dr Santos<\/strong>. The psychology team includes <strong>Dr Anna Prats<\/strong> and <strong>Dr Jose A.
