The PostCROI 2026 meeting has once again positioned Barcelona as a key hub for scientific updates in HIV and opportunistic infections. In its 23rd edition, held at La Pedrera – Casa Milà, the event brought together more than 200 healthcare professionals interested in learning first-hand about the latest findings presented at the 33rd Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI), which took place in Denver (United States) in February.
PostCROI, organised by ScienHub Education, the Foundation’s training events platform, is a scientific review meeting in which independent experts provide a rigorous and critical analysis of the most relevant results presented at the international CROI conference, one of the world’s leading forums for research into HIV, co-infections and opportunistic infections.
The aim of PostCROI is to deliver an update equivalent to attending the congress itself, facilitating access to the most up-to-date knowledge for professionals working in the care, diagnosis, treatment and research of infectious diseases.
During PostCROI 2026, the main advances addressed included:
The speakers highlighted the need to continue progressing towards an increasingly personalised approach to medicine, based on the most up-to-date scientific evidence and focused on improving the quality of life of people living with HIV.
PostCROI has established itself as an essential space for knowledge transfer, continuing professional education and scientific debate. This initiative, funded through the Gilead Sciences grants programme, ensures that CROI content has a real impact on clinical practice, adapted to the local context and presented in a clear and practical way by the professionals leading research in the field of infectious diseases.
Those who were unable to attend in person can watch PostCROI 2026 on demand, available via the ScienHub webinar platform.
