As a foundation, the Fundació Lluita contra les Infeccions has a board of trustees as its superior governing body. It is made up of:

Bonaventura Clotet Sala

President

President of the Fundació Lluita contra les Infeccions and Director of the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute

Bachelor of Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He received his doctorate in 1981 thanks to his research on autoimmune diseases. In 2021, he obtained the highest recognition in research in Catalonia with the “Catalan National Research Award”.

Guillem Sirera Jiménez

Secretary

Attending physician for the Infectious Diseases Service at Hospital German Trias

Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He received a doctorate in 1993 thanks to his study on the prognostic analysis of patients affected by AIDS at Hospital Germans Trias in Badalona. He has developed research and assistance work on HIV infection and the human papilloma virus (HPV).

Jan Andreu Masramon

Member and Institutional Relations

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Barcelona.

He dedicates part of his time to supporting initiatives with social and cultural impact, such as the Fundació Lluita contra les Infeccions or as patron of the Temporada Alta festival.

He is an active member of business organisations such as the Fòrum Carlemany and Barcelona Global. He is also one of the founding partners of the Funicular Films production company.

Jordi Ara del Rey

Territorial Manager of the North Metropolitan area, ICS.

Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona. Specialist in nephrology and a Master’s Degree in the Management of Health Institutions from the Doctor Robert Foundation of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

He is currently a member of the board of the Grup de Desenvolupament de Directius i Empresaris (GDE).

Promoter of the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) and Creu de Sant Jordi.


She is currently Honorary President of the Friends of the Dalí Museums association.

Roger Paredes

Member

Head of the Infectious Diseases Service at Hospital Germans Trias and Scientific Director of the Fundació Lluita contra les Infeccions

Specialist doctor. Doctor of Medicine, with predoctoral training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. His line of research includes microbial genomics in different patient profiles. He is an associate professor of Medicine at the UAB linked to the Master’s Degree in AIDS Treatment and Pathogenesis and is co-responsible for the clinical module.

Montserrat Pinyol Pina

Founding partner of the Comas & Pinyol Advocats law firm

She has a Law Degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona specialising in civil law in the field of real estate and construction law.
She is currently Honorary President of the Mútua dels Advocats (Alter Mútua), member of the Observatory of Private Law of Catalonia of the Codification Commission and member of the committee of experts to debate the municipal ordinance regarding outdoor restaurant seating in the city of Barcelona.

Gemma Recoder Miralles

Founding partner and director of SUNMUSIC

She studied at the Aula de Música Moderna i Jazz in Barcelona and the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
She is currently a member of the advisory board of: Adolescents.cat, Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, and for culture and language of the Corporació Catalana d’Audiovisuals (Catalan Audiovisual Corporation).

Anna Veiga Lluch

Associate Professor of the Department of Health and Life Sciences at the Pompeu Fabra University.

Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and PhD in Biology from the same university.
She is also director of the Probitas Foundation and director of the Barcelona Stem Cell Bank (B-SCB) and head of the research group in advanced therapies with pluripotent stem cells in the Regenerative Medicine Programme of the Biomedical Research Institute of Bellvitge (IDIBELL).
