The Can Ruti Campus and the care and research team of the different institutions that make it up continue to demonstrate, once again, to be a relevant node on a global scale in terms of production and scientific progress.
In this regard, around thirty recognized professionals – from the Hospital and the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP), the Lluita contra les Infeccións Foundation, the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute and of the Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute (IJC) – have been included in a worldwide list of scientists who achieve greater impact thanks to their publications and citations.
This is the new and latest update of Elsevier’s Scopus database, a global publisher in the world of Medicine and Health Sciences. The list includes about 200,000 authors – who represent 2% of the scientific staff worldwide – who are recognized in two classifications: according to their entire scientific career and according to their impact during the past year.
Regarding his entire career, the list includes the president of the Fight Infections Foundation, Bonaventura Clotet.
As for the influence of his work during the year 2022, the list repeats Bonaventura Clotet, but also incorporates Roger Paredes, scientific director of the Fight Infections Foundation and head of the Infectious Diseases Service at Germans Trias Hospital, Oriol Mitjà, head of community infection control strategies section of the Fight Infections Foundation and head of the Infectious Diseases Section at Germans Trias Hospital and Josep M. Llibre, researcher of the Fight Infections Foundation and assistant doctor at the HIV unit at Germans Trias Hospital.
