Celebrating twenty years of commitment to quality with the renewal of our ISO 9001:2015 certification

At the Fight Infections Foundation, we have successfully passed the external audit of our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, with no non-conformities. The recertification coincides with the 20th anniversary of our first certification and recognises the robustness of our processes in research, knowledge transfer and patient care.
This marks our seventh certification cycle, reflecting a sustained commitment to quality and continuous improvement. In fact, the audit recognises that rigour, method and quality are an integral part of the way we work and an approach shared across our teams.
During the audit, numerous examples of good practice were identified, demonstrating the maturity of our management system. Particular strengths included the oversight of research activities and the systematic approach to knowledge transfer, two areas developed through ScienHub Research and ScienHub Education, respectively.
In the case of ScienHub Research, the audit once again identified the oversight of both internal and external research activities as a key strength, highlighting in particular the clarity and control of the associated records.
The assessment highlights the robust way in which our teams manage and monitor research activity: from initiation visits to the structured management of information and oversight of the different processes. These integrated and standardised procedures help to strengthen the quality of the research we carry out.
As for ScienHub Education, the audit highlighted, as it had in previous assessments, the systematic approach to knowledge transfer. This consistency demonstrates that rigour and quality in the way we generate and share knowledge have become firmly established as standard practice across the organisation.
The audit also rated very positively the excellent clinical follow-up of both chronic and acute patients, as well as the management of incidents and complaints, talent management and the range of training initiatives carried out.
Among the initiatives highlighted was What a Wonderful Job, a tool that allows people to formally express thanks and recognition for work well done, both among colleagues and from external professionals and patients. This initiative helps to highlight the value of the people behind our processes and the organisation’s work.
Our ISO 9001:2015 recertification represents more than simply passing an audit. It is the result of a 20-year journey during which quality and continuous improvement have become increasingly embedded in the organisation’s day-to-day work.
Reaching seven certification cycles and doing so with no non-conformities demonstrates the maturity of our management system, but, above all, the commitment of the people who make it possible.
